Events and Results 2010

February 23, 2010: The Rally held Sunday was a huge sucess. There was 110 entrants. Top hand went to Clifford MacDonald winning a new snowmobile suit. Second place went to Norma MacCara winning a new Snowmobile jacket and 3rd place went to Glenda DeBrun who got a new helmet. Floyd Cock won the 50/50. Many door prizes were drawn for as well. The breakfast was very well received with alot of non-snowmobilers taking the oppurtunity to support the club and have a good eat as well. The groomer operators went well into the night to prep the 65 mile route. Mild temps led to the trails being soft and therefore getting beat up relatively quickly but overall conditions were very good with more than enough snow. It was very nice to see Steve McLelan, president of SANS, on hand to run the rally the rally route and socialize with the club members. Many thanks to all the volunteers that organized and ran the rally, the volunteer kitchen staff that cooked a fabulous breakfast and the grooming crew for putting in an exception effort Saturday to make the trails as good as possible. Thanks to all the sponsers for providing the prizes and supplies for the breakfast and thanks to all the participants for coming out on a day when the weather was questionable to support DMSC!
